Graph display error due to Flash Player

Overview

In older Exinda versions, users may be unable to view Flash-based dashboard graphs as the Flash player has reached end-of-life (EOL).

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Exinda Web Interface or CLI

Solution

As Adobe Flash is no longer supported by most browsers, it has been replaced by HTML5 in firmware release v7.4.6. To resolve the graph display issue, update your appliance to the latest version by following the steps outlined in this article.

An alternative solution for Exinda versions prior to v7.4.6 is to change your graph display option. To do so, access the Web Interface, navigate to Setup > Monitoring > Graph Display Options , and change it to 'Non-Flash'. You can also change this configuration through the CLI, by using the following commands:

  • en
  • cont t
  • monitor display graphing non-flash

This change does not require a reboot, and will not affect the actual traffic as it does not change any Optimizer or Bridges configuration.

Note: if you are still having issues after changing your graph display option, please note that the support team will not be able to troubleshoot further as this option is restricted to older firmware versions. In that case, please update your firmware to the latest version.

Testing

Once you have updated your firmware to the latest version or changed your graph display option, check your monitoring graphs for confirming normal visualization. If you are still facing issues, please contact the Support team.
