Overview

This article provides the steps required for you to validate if Exinda provides a predefined Layer 7 signature when Creating an Application Object which defines traffic by combinations of one or more protocol numbers, port numbers, and/or layer 7 signatures.

Solution

  1. Log in to your Exinda WebUI
  2. Click on the Configuration button, and under the Objects, menu click on Applications

  3. Once in there, you can click on the letters and search for a certain application and see if it has the protocols, ports, and/or layer 7 signature that you should be using. (The letter you click on must be the very first letter of the application's name, for example, A for Alibaba)

Note: Depending on your Exinda's version, the predefined objects list might change. If the object is not listed there you might contact Support and ask if the object is in a newer version in order for you to Upgrade the Firmware
