Transferring a License from an Active Production Device to a Replacement Device

You have concerns about transferring a license from your old, defective, but still active production device to a new replacement device. You want to understand the license transfer process and the potential impact on the defective but still active production device. 

Information

The process for transferring a license from an old, defective but still active production device to a new replacement device is as follows:

  1. When you have received your replacement Exinda device, please provide the serial number to the Exinda Support Team,
  2. The Exinda Support Team will generate a new license for you to apply to your replacement Exinda device.
  3. Once you have confirmed with the Exinda Support Team that the defective Exinda device has been removed from the network, the license for the defective Exinda device will be decommissioned.
