Overview
The AD service is running but does not show any users. The AD Connector process is not connecting. You are experiencing a problem with synchronization of an AD server. The information of the active server is not displayed.
Solution
- Check that your configuration aligns with this article: Install the Exinda AD Connector
- Stop the Exinda AD Service by going to the WebUI Users & groups > Network > Active Directory and click "Stop"
- Open the ADConfig tool in Program Files (x86)/Exinda Networks/ExindaAD/ADConfig.exe
- Open the Exinda AD Connector Configuration pane:

- On the first "Exinda Appliances" tab, verify the following
- IP of the Exinda is set correctly
- Exinda Admin User's password is entered correctly.
- Set the sync interval to 1 minute
- On the first "Exinda Appliances" tab, verify the following

- On the second "AD Server" tab, verify the following:
- Both of the check-boxes have been checked.
- If the AD Connector is installed on the AD DC server where the logon events are generated, ensure that "This Computer" is set.
- Once these details have been re-entered and verified to be correct, start the Exinda AD Service by going to the WebUI Users & groups > Network > Active Directory and click "Start"
- Check whether a log file is generated by following this article Active Directory Troubleshooting.
- If there is no log file, reinstall the Exinda AD Service (Users & groups > Network > Active Directory > Microsoft Installed Executable file).
- If the log is present, wait about 5 minutes and then verify whether the DC appears within the Exinda UI:
- Navigate to Configuration > Network > Active Directory.
- Find the DC listed on this page.
- Update the password on the Exinda WebUI by going to Users & groups > Network > Active Directory
- Listen Port: 8015
- Password: <new password>
- Click on Apply Changes > Click on Unsaved Changes > Save configuration changes
- Restart the AD service on the Exinda under Configuration > System > Network > Active Directory.
- Review the users and groups section to see if data is now appearing
