This article addresses when configuring port mirroring fails to capture any traffic. You previously used ExOS v6.4.2 where port mirroring was working. After upgrading to v.7.4.13, it no longer works.
- See the article Setting Up Multiple Mirror Ports. Mirroring can be done on any port since the Bridge is already broken down. Irrespective of the LAN or WAN port, the device should be able to receive traffic from the switch. The SPAN port configured on the Switch will mirror traffic to the port connected to the Exinda.
- Verify on the Switch if the port is set to mirror traffic to an unused port that is cabled on the Exinda Appliance
- Enable mirroring on the Exinda port. See the Mirror/SPAN Port Configuration article.
- If there is no traffic flowing to a port configured for Mirror (e.g. Eth5) , change the port (e.g. Eth5 to Eth4) to see if that resolves the issue.
Navigate to Real-time traffic > conversation, and check to see if it shows traffic flow.
