Overview

This article addresses how to create a policy for Zoom that will carve out guaranteed bandwidth for video conferencing-related applications and prevent issues with freezing and dropping sessions. 

Solution

1. Upgrade Exinda to at least ExOS v.7.4.13 by following this article: Upgrading the Exinda Firmware. If you have created a Zoom application already, please remove it before upgrading.
2. Add a policy for Zoom on the optimizer by following this article: Application Object for Zoom
3. If the policy is not capturing the appropriate traffic, move the policy higher up the optimizer tree to ensure that it captures traffic. Please see Traffic is not hitting the correct Policy/VC/DC to troubleshoot. 

Testing

The Zoom policy should now be configured correctly.
