There are times when a temporary license has been assigned to an Exinda because it is a replacement appliance following the RMA process. However, a full license swap has not yet taken place because the damaged device has not been received back.
This article addresses the situation when the temporary license has expired, but the damaged device is still in transit / not shipped, and hence an extension of the temporary license is needed.
- Submit a Request to the Exinda Support team for temporary license extension. Please provide the reason for requesting the same, along with the host id and serial number of the appliance for which license extension is sought (i.e., the new replacement device, not the old faulty device).
- Support agent will contact the sales team to assist with your request. In this process, you may be requested for some additional information such as shipping details for the faulty Exinda. Please provide the same.
- Once all required information has been made available, support agent will extend the license and provide you with the PDF copy of the same.
