Overview
When the Exinda device is not starting, it is possible to complete the initial prerequisite checks of the appliance.
Once the monitor and keyboard are connected, no boot device is available message may appear in the BIOS.
This article provides details on how to perform primary troubleshooting for Exinda hardware.

Check if the power cable is connected and the power supply is ON, to make sure that the device is getting power.

Check if any of the LED status indicators are indicating any errors. The LEDs available are NICs, HDD, Power, Multi-function LED.
Depending on the Exinda model, the indicators may vary. For more information, please refer to the printed Hardware Installation Guide, shipped together with your Exinda box. -
Connect to the device via Serial console to check if there are any errors on the console.
You will need a console (RJ-45) to DB9 (9-pin) cable or similar.
It is also possible to connect a monitor via a VGA cable and the external keyboard via a USB port. -
Completely switch off the device, disconnect the power supply, and remove the power cables for a few minutes (15 mins or so). Now reconnect the power cable, switch on the power supply and try to switch on the device.
- If the device is not booting at all, try another power cable if available, or a different power source to ensure there are no issues with the power supply.
If the device is still not properly booting, then contact Exinda support to continue the investigation.
