Overview
The user noticed that the OpenVPN traffic is being monitored when it is certain that there should be none on the network. This article discusses a resolution for this issue.
Root Cause
The Exinda could be misclassifying the traffic.
Resolution
The resolution is to reduce the detection sensitivity of OpenVPN traffic. Perform the following steps to make this change:
- Navigate to Configuration > System > Setup > Monitoring.
- Change the OpenVPN Detection dropdown from 'Aggressive' to 'Safe'.
Even though you have reset the detection sensitivity, any OpenVPN traffic which was active before the sensitivity modification will not reclassify until the traffic flow stops. When it starts again, it should be properly classified.
