Overview

This article provides information regarding the Release Notes of AD Agent versions 1.0.1.10 and 1.0.11.

Information

Exinda appliances now support integration with Microsoft's Active Directory (AD). To use this feature, Exinda's AD Windows Agent needs to be installed in all Domain Controllers (DC) with AD capabilities.

Note (for Windows 2008 Server only): Windows 2008 comes with a new feature called User Access Control (UAC), in which all processes are launched in restricted mode unless users explicitly accept the confirmation of the elevated privileges. The Exinda AD Connector installation needs elevated privileges if installed by a user that belongs to the Administrators group. In such a scenario, the Exinda AD Installer will display an error message and stop the installation. Running the installer using the Run as Administrator option (by right-clicking the installer) should resolve this. Note that installations done by the Administrator user are not affected by this.
