Overview
The Control graphs offer a view at the policy configuration, and it shows how much and what kind of traffic is falling into each policy over time. It provides a clear and concise way of showing exact information on how the Optimizer is behaving and shaping traffic on the Exinda appliance. This includes traffic that does not fall into any user-defined policy, which means traffic that falls into the 'Auto-Catch All' policy.
In certain versions of the ExOS6.4.X firmware, the 'Auto-Catch All' policy does not show up on the Control graphs, meaning it does not show any traffic falling into it, even though the traffic is seen on the real-time traffic page.
Root Cause
The 'Auto-Catch All' policy has had several changes in later versions of the Exinda firmware to improve its behavior; when early versions of the v6.X firmware were created, a bug incorrectly prevented the traffic from showing up the Control graphs.
Resolution
After improvements in the Control graphs, as well as several bug fixes (the latest of which occurs in ExOS7.4.3 firmware), the Control graphs now show the 'Auto-Catch All' traffic. Upgrading to the latest firmware resolves this issue.
