Overview
While attempting to upgrade your Exinda appliance, the following error is shown:
No valid SS (expires 1970/01/01): Can't install image with release date year/mm/dd
This article provides relevant information for you to keep in mind when determining if your Exinda device can upgrade to the latest version.
Information
The error is generated when Exinda does not have a license that covers the release date or the new device does not have a license installed at all.
The below Exinda hardware series are 64-bit hardware series, which means they can run any firmware released.
- 2061
- 3062
- 4010
- 4061 and 4062
- 6060 and 6062
- 8060, 8062, 8063 and 8064
- 10060, 10062, 10063 and 10064
- 12063 and 12064
Exinda hardware series 2060 and 4060 are 32-bit versions, which can only run firmware versions 6.3.13 and below (32-bit build).
If you have a valid support license, you can access the latest firmware released. If you do not have a support license, you can access any firmware released before the date of your support expiry.
