Overview
Sometimes when the users have SMBv1 traffic in their network due to a 2003 server or Windows XP and lower client, they might face the following issues with shared files and access.
- Files open with a message saying it is corrupted.
- Users might not be able to join the file share.
- Files which open might be scrambled.
Resolution
The resolution for this issue is to disable the option "Read-Ahead" found under System > Optimization > SMB. When this option is disabled, it resumes normal operations with SMB acceleration enabled
Note: This is only when accelerated traffic is SMBv1.
